If only all cute wedge sandals were this comfortable, us ladies would have it made. I love these sandals so much. Not only are they cute and the color of them goes with just about anything (this is the color I have, but there are more colors available), but I can walk for miles and miles and hours and hours (did that today) in these babies and my feet won't scream for mercy. Even my mom, who doesn't wear a heel higher than 1" because she insists that every high heel shoe made is "very uncomfortable", borrowed these from me last night to wear to dinner, and she didn't complain. She now wants to get a pair- mine. No way lady, you gotta get your own, lol. Here is a pic of the shoes on my feet to give you an idea of how they look on. What I'm reading now: "How Do You Work this Life Thing?" by Lizzie Post

Man, where was this book eight years ago when I became an independent woman? Lizzie Post, great great granddaughter of Emily Post and daugther of author Peter Post, gives you this interesting guide on how to deal with life as a newly independent young adult. This book offers advice for everything- from choosing your roommates (and learning how to get along with them), to landing the perfect job. The section in the book that I've most enjoyed was moving into your first place and choosing your roommates, because it brought back memories for me. I wish this book was available when Mr. Cheap Chica and I moved into our first apartment because the advice in this book probably would've avoided us from trying to strangle each other, lol. Just kidding. I recommend this book for anyone getting out on their own for the first time. It's not easy, but I'm sure this book would help guide you through.

I'm back....just taking it one day at a time

I just want to say that I'm back. I know, I know, it was very brief, but I'm getting over my problem little by little. I think it is the power of prayer and the support from friends and family that's helping me get through this rough time. I feel a lot better than I did this past weekend.
