Steal of the day: Earrings fit for a queen

crown earrings $13, Girl Props
I like that these earrings are big (okay, not that big-click here to see earrings on model) and different. I like big, different earrings, lol.

Yay or nay?

I'm thinking of getting these. I love the deep purple color. What do you think? Yay or nay and why.

Weekend finds: Charlotte Russe

This past Saturday, we took a drive up to St. Petersburg to visit my mom in the hospital. The original plan was to visit Mom and then go to Guavaween in Ybor City (to all my Tampa/ St. Petersburg folks, how was it?), but we decided to just visit Mom. After leaving Mom, we went to the mall to kill some time. I went to Charlotte Russe where they had a lot of tops on sale for $7.99.

If I forgot to put your link up...

As you can see, I've re-did my layout. I'm still working on adding blog links to the side, so if I forgot to put yours up, don't hesitate to remind me. Just don't keep sending me threats talking about you're going to take my link down off your site just because you don't see yours on mine. I could care less. So, if I forgot to put up your link, just email me and it'll be up ASAP. Ciao!

Cute coats under $100

It's still a million degrees down here in Florida, so I won't be needing a coat for a while. By no means am I trying to rub it in. In fact, I would love for a cool breeze to come through here. I'm tired of sweating my perm out, lol. Anyway, I don't own too many coats- I have two that I rarely wear, but I'm thinking that I should buy one for this winter. I got my eyes set on a nice plaid coat or a nice trench. Here are some cute ones that I've found:

from left to right

  1. purple wool coat $45, Forever 21
  2. plaid cropped coat $15, The 15 Dollar Store
  3. red coat $67, Lulu's Fashion Lounge
  4. black belted coat $55, Forever 21
  5. black plaid coat $98, Urban Outfitters

Lunchbreak shopping: Old Navy

I actually bought this stuff last Wednesday. Almost half the store was marked down and a lot of stuff was marked down to $1.97. I love it when Old Navy have $1.97 markdowns, but I also hate it because that's when a lot of the crazies come out, lol. You can be there minding your business, browsing away, when one of the crazy scavengers decide they want to bump into you and is all over you trying to browse as well. Um, excuse me. I don't like your armpit all up in my face, nor your pushing. Moving along. Here's all of my loot:

  • ruffle collar top $1.97
  • ruffle sleeve top $1.97
  • trouser jeans $6.97
  • bell sleeve top $1.97
  • purple ruffle collar top $1.97. Remember when this was featured as the "steal of the day"?
  • tie neck top $1.97. Yeah, I know, another mustard colored top. I love the color, though.

All this for under $20. Sweet!

The Blind vs. Tar-jay

NEW YORK - "Links list dialogue." "Links list view." "Your Account — Two of 164."
This is what the Internet sounds like to Chris Danielsen.
Danielsen is blind. He's using a software program called Jaws that converts the text on a Web page into a computerized voice that comes out through a speaker, allowing him to
surf the Web using keyboard commands instead of a mouse — the same way lots of blind people use the Internet.

In this case, his computer is listing all the Web links on the page he's on and telling him that the highlighted link his cursor is on now will take him to the "Your Account" section on Wal-Mart's Web site.
Danielsen, who writes a
blog called "The Voice of the Nation's Blind" for the National Federation of the Blind, says accessing the Internet has been a "huge boon" for blind people. It's allowed them to accomplish a great number of tasks on their own that would otherwise present difficulties or require the help of a sighted person, such as banking, buying plane tickets and shopping for things like groceries and music.
But like any evolving technology, accessing the Internet has hardly been a smooth ride for the blind. Some sites can be difficult to navigate, particularly if they contain relatively few text links and rely more on graphics and other visual elements that screen-reading software such as Jaws can't interpret.
That's why the NFB, an organization that represents blind people, is suing Target Corp., saying that its Web site is inaccessible to blind Internet users.

What to wear with that mustard top...

Remember that mustard ruffled collar top that I bought from Old Navy a couple of weeks ago? I've worn it once, but Girlfriend 007 has given me a new idea on what to wear with it. Here's an outfit that she's put together for me using a similar top. Since I'm jeans girl, this idea is great. Thanks, Girlfriend!

Weekend finds: Do you BOGO? I do.

Yesterday, I found myself venturing out to the Gulf Coast Town Center to check out the grand opening of Steps New York. Everything in the store was 20% off, plus an additional 10% off for telling them that you heard their ad on the radio. I saw a couple of things that I liked, but I didn't buy. It was a nice store and I will go there again when they get more stuff. I then walked over to Payless, where they were having their BOGO. When they have BOGO, I never find a second item. This time, I did. Two pairs of shoes for $10.50. Sweet!

  • American Eagle heels $7
  • ballet flats $3.50

I then went over to Tar-jay to do some grocery shopping, and of course, I have to browse the clearance section. I found this satin babydoll top for $3.74. They had other prints, but I liked this one the best.

$10 party tops @ Charlotte Russe

It's been a while since I've been out partying. I know I told y'all that I really don't wear prints that much, but when I go out, my top has to be an eye catching and bold print. I keep everything else pretty simple. Here are a few going out tops that I like from Charlotte Russe that are all $10.
