Today's video: DIY fashion tricks

This video is a few months old, but I like the cool diy tips Bobbie Thomas gives in this video. As I was going through my closet weeding out items I haven't worn in a year or so, I stopped and thought that maybe I can do a little diy-ing to them. Hey, why not breathe new life into a garment and all you'll be out of is a few minutes and a few dollars? I was thinking about starting with this NY & Co. plaid blazer that I scored at the Goodwill for $3. A few buttons are missing, so I'm going to replace all of them. Enjoy the video! What have you diy'ed lately?

If I find a pair of pants that I like at my local thrift store and they're, uhhh, a bit short, I like to cut them about two inches above the hem. I then cut them just above the knee area. I take the bottom piece and stitch it to the knee area matching the seams. To jazz them up, I sew buttons, ribbons, etc., on the outside seams. Now what used to be a pair of too short pants are now a great pair of capris!
