Do you believe in Magix?

I just discovered an inexpensive makeup primer called Magix Face Perfector by Avon. Before, I was just using an oil-free moisturizer as my primer before I put on my foundation, but I really didn't like that method. I've heard that Monistat Chafing Relief powder-gel can be used as a primer, but I have yet to try that (has anyone tried this?). After reading great reviews about Magix, I decided to give it a try.

I haven't tried any of the more expensive brands to compare this to, but to me, it works pretty good. I have very oily skin and this controls the shine for hours. It's a very light formula. When I apply it to my face, it justs sinks into my skin and it feels like nothing's there. I haven't worn it under makeup yet. When worn alone, it makes my skin feel so smooth and my pores are less visible. It's a keeper for me. At $10, you can't go wrong. Have you tried Magix yet?

I've never used the Avon Magix Primer before, but I have used the Monistat Chafing Gel. I will definitely say that the Monistat Gel is the TRUTH!!! It really smooths the skin and makes the pores less visible. Unfortunately for me, I have oily, acne-prone skin and using the Monistat will make me break out. Right now, I'm trying Milan Minerals Perfect Presentation, and it seems to be working well with my oily skin and the Georgia heat.

I lived in Florida until yesterday :-) and I have used the Monostat Gel. It works really well, but I find if I am not scrupulous in removing every iota of makeup from my face with a washrag, I end up with clogged pores....

I was very interested to hear about the new Avon one, and will have to check it out once I have a new address to mail goodies to.

@jasmin: lol, you should've been the first one to try it.

@bianca: you should definitely try it. not trying to be nosy, but where are you moving to?
