Topic Tuesday: The most you'll spend on thrift store clothing

What's the most you'll spend on thrift store clothing?

Call me a cheapskate, but the most I'll spend on a piece of thrift store clothing is probably $5. Maybe $10 if the item is something that I just have to take home with me, and even then it must be in near perfect condition. I guess I'm just too cheap and picky (lol).

I'll pay up to $2 for an AWESOME shirt, up to $5 for AWESOME sweaters or skirts, $8 for dresses, $15 for coats, $8 for shoes, prolly $20 for seriously kick-ass boots, and about $40 for high-end jeans. But again, I stress that those are the max prices, and that the item must be AWESOME.

I also am very picky when it comes to everything. The most I have ever spent was $24.50 for a fabulous khaki trench coat that hit pass the knee, I am 5'9" too.

I look for quality and how it will fit in my wardrobe rather than just the price tag, :)

i have my regular stops around the city, never paying more than $3-5 for great shirts and sweaters, $8-10 for designer jeans, $5-10 for purses or shoes, $5 for skirts, and $10 or so for dresses. However, if something is really awesome I'll drop $20-30 without blinking. But the times I've done this have been Burberry or something similar, so it's definitely worth it. :)

$10 for a really nice purse or coat is pretty much my limit. It would have to be something pretty amazing to get me to spend more than that, and I'm afraid the thrift stores here aren't up to the challenge.
The best stuff I've ever found hasn't cost more than $5, so I've been pretty lucky on that front.
