Topic Tuesday: What did you get from the $1 Outnet birthday sale?

I just have one question.  Were any of you lucky enough to score something from the Outnet's first birthday sale this past Friday?  I was upset that everything was sold out by 7:30 Friday morning, but oh well. The Outnet sent me an email today offering  free shipping on any purchase.  I guess that's their way of making it up to everyone who didn't get a chance to purchase anything from the birthday sale.   If you've scored something, what did you get?

NOTHING. I got the e-mail at the minute it was sent and three minutes later, gone. I was pissed because all the ads made it sound like EVERYTHING on the site would be $1 and so I found a good ten items I knew I wanted and none of them were a part of that.

Not a damn thing. I was rushing to the computer as well, KNOWING I would be able to get something uber fab for $1. Oh well..

Not a Damn Thing. I clicked the site as soon as I got my email only to read that it was already closed. This was badly orchestrated to say the least.

@tania katherine: you're right. i was under the impression that everything on the site was going to be on sale. that would've been nice and at least it would've gave everyone a chance to get something.

I'm with Anon, this was really badly organized.

I was going through after just trying to get SOMETHING but every was sold by 7:05 (I got the email at 6:58).

I wish it was better planed. Especially once they sent the e-mail about how to shop the sale, I assumed more that it was ALL items on the site. I also found the sort options didn't work until it was too late: I'd click my shoe size and dress size and it showed the same list.

I strongly believe they have little care for the customer here just the $$$.

yes! I got a $1400 Phi dress. Believe it or not, I found it at 10am EDT using Google.

Oh I hate to be a party pooper but I got two things..a roberto cavalli purse (1390 buck retail) and some Marc Jacobs slingbacks (615 retail)...I used two different emails so i was able to get two different items. I stayed up all night and I was reading the purse forum and around 3 someone mentioned the sale started, but it was for the U.K, after realizing the U.S hadn't started..I went to sleep..then woke up at 6:30 and got the email at 6:45. I didn't bother with clothes due to size and fit.

I ended up purchasing something else than I originally planned. The first thing was a dress that got taken from my cart that I was just about to buy! So I got denim shorts from Sass&Bide. Honestly I might just sell them on eBay.

I walked away with NADA. I know just one person who got a pair of Proenza Schouler shoes but with a sale like this, I guess it was inevitable that most people would be empty handed. sigh

I stayed up all night, checking my email every hour. I finally woke up at 6 am eastern time to discover that they sent the email at 5:54 am. Of course everything was already sold out. Even when I clicked on some items that were still available they came back being sold out. I was disapointed because they were not many things I wanted from their list anyway. I thought that everything on the page would have been on sale and I spent the previous week checking items on the site daydreaming. I had 100 items on my cart, all that I could spend. I have to confess that I cried a bit (saying a lot) when I missed it. I was sad all day because I thought this would be my only chance to get designer's something knowing that I am not rich enough..joke's on me
