TJ Maxx Shoe Haul

Ok, so technically it's not a haul, because it's only 2 pair. But the 2 pair are so awesome, and I got such a GREAT deal, it's a haul in my book. Check out my deals (click for a larger view):

I scooped these from the TJ Maxx store in New York on 18th Street...for this to be such a HUGE store, it is very well maintained. AND...A Marshall's store is being built downstairs next to the Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Madden Girl, Rightous Pump $24.99

These are officially my new black pumps! Seriously, I tossed out another pair of black pumps because these were uber-comfy. I wore them to a wedding last week, and didn't have to slide them off under the dinner table. Annnnd...the insole is padded.

BCBGeneration, $39.99

This shoe was a steal! I've been looking for a pump this color and I was too happy when I spied these babies. The last pair in my size, which means they were meant for me. They are surprisingly SUPER easy to walk in. They are suede, which means I'll be carrying plastic bags in my purse every single I wear them.

Cheap. Cheaper. Cheapest: Peep toe clogs

Clogs are a big trend this year, and I'm loving the peep toe styles. Will these work for fall when the temperatures drop? Sure they will! Just add a pair of tights with your dress or skirt, and you're good to go!  Here are three (almost identical) pairs that I've found to fit every budget...

Nifty under $50: Fall styles @ Payless

The first day of fall will be here on Thursday, and I haven't even started thinking about what I want on my fall wardrobe wishlist.  The first thing I tend to buy are shoes, and I'm seeing a lot of great fall styles at Payless right now.  Here are a  few that I have my eyes on.  Hmm, I wonder when there's going to be another BOGO sale?

Fioni Harlee Lace-Up Shootie $29.99;  Dexter Kameron Menswear Mary Jane $19.99;  American Eagle Annabelle Flat $14.99 (reg. $22.99);  Fioni Robbin Cuff Bootine $29.99;  Fioni Kris Kros Faux Suede Sandal $24.99;  Lela Rose for Payless Gerlinde Suede Chop-Out Shootie $44.99

Goodwill hunting: The Clearance Center

Yesterday, I took a little drive over to the Goodwill Clearance Center in Bonita Springs.  Before I planned my trip to the Clearance Center, I had this idea that it was going to be this big warehouse with everything scattered about everywhere in bins and you would have to dig, dig, dig.  You would then have to go over to the register and have your items weighed and everything would be about $1 per pound.  Not this store, although I have seen on a message board that Goodwill Clearance Centers in different states operate this way.  This store is set up just like a regular Goodwill retail store, except everything is 50% off regular Goodwill prices.  Sweet!  I hate the fact that they didn't have a dressing room (or maybe I didn't pay attention enough to see if one was there?), so a couple of the pieces that I bought didn't fit once I got home, but it's all good. They had some awesome stuff and the staff was wonderful- nothing like good customer service! I will definitely visit again. Here are some of the items that I found.

Sam & Libby cognac pumps (brand new) $4.50

tribal print skirt $3.  I heart full skirts and I love this print.

Mossimo suede jacket $5.50

Elle charcoal skinny jeans $3

Donna Morgan gingham wrap dress (new with tags) $2.50.  Although this dress fits well, the "girls" are still spilling out, so I'm going layer a cami underneath.

I also bought an H&M floral dress for $2.50,  a pair of trouser jeans for $3, and a Remy Shand CD for $1 (great music if you're into neo-soul/ jazz).  Not bad for $25.

Lunchbreak shopping: Cropped pinstripe blazer for $3.99

I scored this cropped pinstripe blazer from Kmart's brand Attention for only $3.99! Lord knows I don't need another blazer, but a girl can't have too many blazers, right?  All of Kmart's spring and summer apparel clearance is only $3.99 this week, but it looked as though everything was picked over, so all I ended up getting was the blazer.  It's very lightweight- I could wear it now without feeling uncomfortable in this heat.  When I brought it up to the register, the cashier suggested that I should buy the matching shorts to go with it.  Um, no. Nice try, lady.  Right now, I'm just going to see what's in my closet it to pair this up with.  Maybe I'll do an outfit post.  Stay tuned...

just noticed the lapel was flipped up. Oy.

Where did you get that?: Carrie Ann Inaba's Guess by Marciano top

"Dancing With the Stars" judge, Carrie Ann Inaba was spotted at US Weekly's 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers party last night wearing this Guess by Marciano top.

Obviously, this top is a big seller because there's only XS and S left (eek!). It's a very sexy top, but a little too rich for my blood.  Hopefully, they'll restock them and have a sale on them soon.

Cheapalicious beauty: Proclaim Argan Oil Intense Moisturizing Shampoo

These days, every hair product brand and their mama are putting out products with argan oil in them.  This time, Sally Beauty's Proclaim brand has come out with a line of products containing the oil.  I decided to try the Intense Moisturizing Shampoo after reading good reviews about it, and plus I was in need of more moisturizing shampoo anyway since I was out of my Aphogee Deep Moisture Shampoo (that was the reason for the trip to Sally's in the first place, lol).
ingredients list (click to enlarge)
Besides the obvious argan oil,  it has other nourishing oils in it such as olive oil, jojoba seed oil, and grape seed oil.  The shampoo promises to "gently, yet effectively cleanse, soften, and add moisture to dry damaged hair, and leave hair shiny and healthy looking." The first time I washed my hair with the shampoo, I didn't use a conditioner or any serums afterward just to see how the shampoo worked on its own. It did indeed made my hair softer and cleansed it really well.  After I blow dried, I really didn't see any shine to my hair, but it was less frizzy.  I've washed my hair twice with this shampoo so far, and I think it's going to be a keeper for me.  I like it!

Have you tried this shampoo or any of Proclaim's argan oil line of products?

The Bettye Muller Luge wedge boot will run you about $400.  Do you really want to pay that much for a pair of boots?  No?  I didn't think so.  Alloy has an almost identical pair- although not available in the tobacco color as the BM's- for about $53!  What's that?  You like that price better?  I thought so.
