Cyber shopping/ Weekend finds: Taking advantage of free shipping from Forever 21

It's very rare that you get free shipping from Forever 21 with a small minimum to purchase, so I went ahead and took advantage of it.  Right now until tonight (10/31), they're running a promo for free shipping on orders over $15.  Just enter FRIENDS10 at the checkout. Here's my haul.  Every item was under $5!

[1] large teardrop earrings $1.50; [2] slip in buckle belt $3.50.  I needed another plain black stretch belt for my wardrobe, and this one's perfect for an excellent price.; [3] geisha necklace $4.80; [4] basic fitted skirt $3.50. I've been wanting a basic black fitted skirt forever, so I hope this one fits well when it arrives.  If it doesn't, oh well, at least I didn't pay a ton of money for it. ; [5] skinny studded belt $4.80

Goodwill hunting: Shopping the new Arbor Towne Square store

On Friday,  I took a drive over to the new Goodwill store that opened up on Thursday.  My original plan was to go on Saturday, but I knew it was going to be crazy busy, especially the first weekend of a grand opening.  I'm glad that I popped in when I did because the store was not that busy.  It was pretty quite and pleasant- perfect thrifting atmosphere for me.  Since this store just opened, they weren't having any 50% off promotions (every week, certain color tags are 50% off), but that's okay, I still walked away with some great deals.

Baby Phat Girlz top $3.49.  I bought this top for my 8 year old niece, but my original plan wasn't to give it to her- I was going to keep it for myself.  Let me explain.  When I saw it on the mannequin, I loved the print so much, that I just had to try it on. I didn't pay attention to how small it looked, I wanted it. When I got into the fitting room, it was a different story.  The tag says XL, so  I couldn't understand why a "women's" XL didn't fit me.  I double checked the tag again to make sure that I'd read it right and sure enough it was an XL- in girls.  Fail.  So yeah, this top is going to my niece.  I'm sure she'll love it.

plaid tunic/ dress $4.99.

Seven7 jeans $5.99.  These fit really nice and their in really good shape- practically new!

chambray tunic $3.99

Dolce and Gabbana (?) silk tartan skirt/ dress $3.49.  I'm not sure if this is a skirt or a dress, but I found it on the skirt rack, but it looks like a sleeveless dress.  I'm not sure if this is an authentic D&G piece either.  With so many fakes out there, you can never tell anymore.  To all my fashionistas out there that can spot an authentic piece, is this real?

blouse $3.49.  Just another top for work.  I will belt it to give it some shape because it kind of baggy.  I like the slight puffiness of the sleeves and the print.

sandals $4.99

Total damage was a little over $32.  Not bad, and I will definitely shop this store again.  To all of my 239 area  readers, have you shopped this new Goodwill store yet?  What did you buy?

Designer way vs. Cheapalicious way

The Stella McCartney lace blazer has been sold out for so long that I forgot how much it originally cost (lol).  It would've been perfect for this season, since lace details are a really hot trend right now.  Thank goodness for Shock Boutique!  They gotcha' covered with an almost identical version for only $84!

Nifty under $50: Fair Isle

I don't know about anyone else, but, to me, fair isle prints used to conjure up images of skiing on the slopes and snuggling up to the fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate.  I never found the fair isle print to be "stylish"- just too "wintery" for my taste (hard to explain, lol).  But, after seeing all of these cute pieces arriving in the stores lately, it looks like I'll be adding a fair isle print piece to my wardrobe.  Check out these fab pieces that I've found for under $50!

Style & Co. bell sleeve tunic $49, Macy's; cropped wrap sweater $39.99, Aeropostale; women's plus cocoon cardigan $39.50, Old Navy; cowl neck sweater dress $39.95, bebe; chunky knit ski sweater $29.80, Forever 21; deep v-neck sweater $49.50, American Eagle Outfitters

Congrats to Donna Johnson and Brittany Stiling!  Thanks to everyone that entered!

Do you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer? The best way to win the battle against the disease is by setting up an early detection plan. The Give Hope program is Procter and Gamble's partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), to raise awareness and educate women on the importance of early detection to prevent breast cancer.

As you all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to help further support the NBCF, that's where your purchasing power come into play.  P&G has sent out special Give Hope brandSAVER coupon booklets in newspapers across the country on September 26 and this past Sunday (October 10).  With both booklets,  there's about $160 in combined savings on P&G products.

    September 26 booklet

For every coupon redeemed, P&G will donate 2 cents to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and the donation is uncapped.  With over five billion coupons in circulation, this could be a really big donation, so put those coupons to use!

If you've been shopping since the start of the month, I'm sure you've noticed a lot of "pink" packaged products in stores.  One of these limited edition pink packaged products is the Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-aging Micro-sculpting Cream, and P&G is going to give two lucky Cheapalicious readers their own jar, plus a Give Hope brandSAVER coupon booklet:

    They're $1300! -  Rose

I must admit, it took me a while to find a shoe that is somewhat close to the Ruthie Davis stud pump that Kim Kardashian is wearing in the pic.  I didn't find an exact lookalike, but I did run across this pair from Go Jane while I was browsing their site this past weekend.

"Miss Tina" clothing line now available on Walmart.com

Some time ago, I posted that Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles, was launching a clothing line for Walmart sometime this month.  Upon browsing Walmart's site, I see that there are a few pieces available for purchase. From what I see so far, I'm not really impressed, but  I'm not going to write this collection off completely until I see it up close.  Maybe there's better items in store?  I'll pop into my local Wally World some time this week to see if the clothing line has arrived.

Did "Miss Tina" arrive at your local Walmart?  Thoughts?

Lunchbreak shopping: How I scored $23 worth of Wet N Wild cosmetics for a little over $7!

A few days ago, I drove over to my local Walgreens to take advantage of the Wet N' Wild cosmetics 50% off sale. Without the sale and coupons, all of these items would've cost me about $23, but I only paid a little over $7 for them. How? Let me break it down for you...

Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencil in "Pixie" $0.99 (retail $1.99).

MegaLast Long Wear Lip Color in "Mochalicious" and "Cherry Bomb" $1.49 each (retail $2.99 each). The Mochalicious color is actually more brown in real life (I don't know why my camera is picking it up as more pink. Sorry).

Craze eyeshadow duos in "Tequila Sunrise" and "Eye Bruise Easily" $0.99 each (retail $1.99 each). I think these are limited edition eyeshadow duos. They were in a display by themselves (with other colors), and I don't think they're part of a core collection. I could be wrong...

ColorIcon eyeshadow singles in "Penny", "Nutty", "Lagoon" , and "Envy" $0.99 each (retail $1.99 each)

ColorIcon bronzer in "Princess" $1.49 (retail $2.99)

The price of everything came to $11.40. I then used a $5 off $10 Wet n' Wild cosmetics coupon from the September issue of All You Magazine, and that brought my total down to $6.40. Add $0.69 for tax, and my total purchase was $7.09!

Have you bought any Wet n' Wild products at this week's Walgreens sale?
