Star Style under $200: Ashley Greene

Actress Ashley Greene (Twilight), looked adorable in a floaty ruffled top paired with skinny jeans while visiting Comic Con last week.  Strappy platform sandals finished the look.  Check out my budget friendly re-creation of her outfit with pieces from ASOS, Ann Taylor, and Wet Seal!

Thrift Score!: The $20 limit....

This past Sunday, I decided to make a trip to one of my favorite thrift stores, The Family Thrift Center.  I was supposed to go to the mall and search for another white button down shirt, but I decided to start at the thrift store first to see what I could find on the cheap.  I set a $20 limit for myself, because I tend to go crazy in this particular thrift store and I end up overspending.  Here's what I've found.

puff sleeve tunic $0.99.  I love this top! So perfect for the weekend and I love the puffy sleeves.

floral skirt $2.99.  I love this skirt, but I don't like the waistband.  A cute belt will solve that problem.

coral blazer $3.99.  I'm trying to build my colorful blazer collection up.  I found a yellow one on my last thrift shopping trip, and the next time I go thrifting, I'm going to try and find a red one.

skirt $3.99.  Love, love, love all the colors of this skirt! So summery!  I wore this to work on Tuesday with a plain white tee, pink layered necklace, and straw espadrilles, and got so many compliments.  This is one of my favorite skirts in my closet right now.

I think I did pretty good- everything came to a little over $15- and I found a white button down for $2.99 (yay!).  Score!

Do you set a spending limit when you go thrifting?

Spotted at Target: Harajuku Mini already?

Yesterday, I posted that Gwen Stefani was teaming up with Target to debut a children's clothing line called Harajuku Mini- not due out until November.  Well, while I was out making my weekly Target stop getting some ideas of what to buy my brother for this upcoming school season, I spotted these over in the school supply section- Harajuku Mini backpacks and folders (please excuse the quality of the photos, I took them on my Iphone).

messenger bag $19.99

backpacks $24.99 each

I spotted these binders, but I couldn't find a price for them anywhere.  They were the only two I saw.

I ran over to the kids clothing section to see if any other merchandise have arrived, and I saw nothing.  Maybe they'll be here in November as scheduled.

According to Catwalk Queen, Gwen Stefani has teamed up with Target to create a fashion line for  infants, children, and tweens called Harajuku Mini- sort of a mini version of her line, Harajuku Lovers.  Prices for the upcoming collection will range from $3.99 to $29.99. The first introduction of the line will be on November 13, followed by a second intro in January 2012.  This marks Stefani's first move into clothing for children.  Can't wait to see some of the designs!

Fab Find: Attention pocket band jacket from Kmart

My search for a military  jacket (yeah, I still haven't found the "perfect" one) ended when I stumbled upon this beauty on the clearance rack yesterday at Kmart.  It was marked down to $17.99 with an additional 40% off, so the final price was $10.79!  Score for me!

Attention pocket band jacket $10.79 (on sale), Kmart.  Today (7/9) is the last day for this low price. Not sure if it's going back to regular price or not.

Lunchbreak Shopping: Old Navy's Summer Sale!

image via Old Navy Facebook page

Twitter can be a pretty helpful tool when it comes to finding out the latest deals from your favorite stores.  Yesterday while catching up on some daily tweets from those I follow, I stumbled across a tweet from Old Navy about their summer sale- select styles up to 75% off!  You know I had to scope out the sale on my lunch hour.  Apparently, this sale started on Tuesday, and I must have gotten there too late because a lot of the merchandise was gone.  But, I managed to find  a couple of cute things (yay!).  Here's what I found...

olive green rayon romper $8.73 (reg. $34.94).  I wish this was still up on the website (you'd get a better idea of how it looks).  This is so lightweight and comfy.  This will definitely be one of my go-to pieces this summer.

pleated tie belt skirt $6.73 (reg. $26.94)

I also bought a couple pairs of the 2 for $5 flip flops. Can't have too many of those. Total damage with my $10 Old Navy Reward was $11.09 (tax included)!  The sale ends on 7/13.

Have you shopped the Old Navy Summer Sale?  What did you get?
