I decided to venture out of the house on Sunday and check out the newly opened Goodwill Outlet Center in my town. I've been to Goodwill outlets in the past (actually clearance centers) but they were just Goodwill stores that sold their items 50% off less than regular Goodwill prices. This store is different. Everything's in bins and is sold by the pound. At first, I was a bit intimidated because I've heard stories of these types of thrift stores being crazy and out of control, but it was cool. It wasn't that busy and I was able to look through the bins in peace without someone pushing me out of the way.
The bins. Intimidating, right? They're actually not that deep and digging was kinda fun!
Like I stated earlier, all items are in bins and sold by the pound. At this store, everything BUT shoes are $0.89/lb. That includes clothing, accessories, toys, books, and housewares. Shoes are $1.29/lb. I was expecting big, huge bins that I would have to spend hours digging in, but it wasn't like that at all! They were maybe a foot deep (probably a tad deeper), so digging through was a breeze. Every half hour, they rotate some of the bins to bring in fresh inventory to look through. I found some pretty neat stuff, including a pair of Tahari trouser jeans! I got eleven items for a total of $7.55 (tax included). That averages out to $0.69 a piece! Will definitely visit again! Check out what I found......
Sidenote: Since my camera took a dump (hopefully, I'll get a new one for Christmas, lol), I used my phone's camera to take pics of my haul. Not the best quality, so I tried to edit the photos as best as I could.
